Sealing the Swing Wall Base

After a few windy and heavy rain storms, we got water into the cabin coming from the deck, underneath the swing wall. It didn’t happen unless it was heavy rains or really windy. It wasn’t good, so we came up with a plan.

Since the rubber stripping worked great at the top of the swing wall, we figured we’d get another strip and use it at the base of the swing wall. It’s flexible and creates a great seal on the deck. Since installation we haven’t had any other issues with water getting in.
